Envato co-founder Cyan Ta’eed has taken out the Victorian Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the 2015 Telstra Women in Business Awards.

You can check out her acceptance speech below.

We’re incredibly proud of Cyan, who earlier this year took home the Entrepreneur of the Year prize (Services Division) with Collis in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award program.

The Telstra Business Women’s Awards celebrate women who start and shape their own businesses and lead within their industries. They reward risk-takers and those who find time to give back.

Cyan was acknowledged for her entrepreneurship co-founding and leading Envato, and for the things we’ve achieved in our nine years.

In her acceptance speech, Cyan emphasised that technology and entrepreneurship are intractable in our age, which is why it’s critical we ensure our tech world is as diverse as the rest of our world. Great ideas come from anywhere; something we see every day in our global marketplace and across the Envato ecosystem.

Empowering individuals and other businesses to succeed, helping to bring their ideas to life, can deliver big and meaningful wins for an entrepreneur.
