It marks the second consecutive year Envato has tasted success in the Export Awards, as it won the Digital Technology Award at both a State and National level in 2016.
Envato has been named winner for the Creative Industries category in the Governor of Victoria Export Awards.
The award acknowledges outstanding international success across all creative industries including music and performing arts, film, television and radio, software and interactive content, writing, publishing and print media, architecture and design, and visual arts.
From websites, templates and graphics to app assets, fonts, stock video, stock audio and photos, Envato has had more than six million customers and forty million purchases since its establishment eleven years ago.
Announced at Monday’s export awards ceremony, Envato was presented with the award by the Governor of Victoria, the Honourable Linda Dessau AC.
It marks the second consecutive year Envato has tasted success in the Export Awards, as it won the Digital Technology Award at both a State and National level in 2016, as well as being named the Australian Exporter of the Year.
Acting CEO Ben Chan said the company was thrilled but humbled to receive recognition for its work to support the creative sector. “We are strong believers in the approach that when our community succeeds, we succeed. Our creative community is the backbone of the company and we are always trying to make decisions with their best interests in mind.”
“So this award is not just an acknowledgement of the hard work of all our staff around the world, but is also an important recognition of the widespread success our authors and customers have had when using Envato services and products.”
The company is now a finalist in the Australian Export Awards in the same category, to be announced in December.
