It feels like Plaza Themes only just got started on Envato Market. They joined our community in late March of 2011, and now here we are, having a serious celebration in their honor. Which is pretty darn impressive if you ask us!
Based in Vietnam, Plaza Themes value quality above all else.
“As a newbie on Themeforest, we didn’t have much to go by,” they told us, “but we still managed to make sales. The quality of our themes has always been the most important factor that helped us generate a profit.”
Quality, indeed. Specializing on the Magneto, OpenCart, and PrestaShop platforms, Plaza Themes is best known for their multi-purpose and multi-faceted e-Commerce themes.
Take Sahara, their number one best seller. Described as a “mega-store Magneto e-Commerce solution,” it is responsive, includes lots of unique features and is being constantly updated, so users know they’re always building their stores with the latest trends. Plus, it comes with over 48(!) different demos within it, so you can customize the layout to meet your exact specifications.
Other top-selling themes include Optima, a PrestaShop theme ideal for selling digital equipment or furniture (and includes layouts for both options) and theAccessories Car Magneto theme, which is as you might’ve guessed, perfect for an online auto parts shop.
Although, Presta Themes’ success has not been built only on the performance of their top-sellers. It’s the huge library of consistently high-quality and versatile items they have listed that has got them to where they are today.
The work environment at Plaza Themes is productive yet relaxed. “We have a medium-sized office but it is cozy and comfortable, and we do like a minimal working environment,” they have said.
The company office only has desks, office chairs, and a shoe cabinet. “We don’t like overhead lights, so we use lamps to light our office to give it a warmer feeling.”
Each desk always has fresh flowers on it, and there’s one long desk they use for team meetings. The homelike environment seems to work very well for the Plaza Themes team.
In the company’s beginnings, they didn’t invest much in self-promotion. And truly, engagement on the social front is a new thing for them. “Recently, we only started using Facebook, Twitter and a web homepage for promotion,” they told us.
Again, quality is the only driving force behind Plaza Themes. “The only motor that helps us move forward is that we only release our best material.”
Their biggest metric of whether or not a product gets released is straightforward: would they themselves buy it? If the answer is no, it’s never uploaded. Simple as that.
“We hope to be on Envato for a long time and aim to keep building up our profile so that we can stay on top among the greatest.”
