Our values

Envato’s values were made with love by Envatians back in the early days.
They make us very proud, and drive our business decisions every day.

When the Community Succeeds, We Succeed

The community is our backbone and we always try to make decisions with their best interests in mind. It is critical to us that we have a win-win approach to work, and that we get involved with and talk to the community.

The Right People, The Right Environment

We look for smart, curious, capable people with skill, passion and integrity. We trust them and give them the space to act, succeed and learn from mistakes. We support them in their endeavours to grow and develop, and help them to achieve both individually and, more importantly, within their team.

Tell it like it is

We value truthfulness and integrity, openness and transparency, the ability to admit when one is wrong, and the courage it takes to be completely honest. We prize both giving and receiving respectful, constructive and encouraging feedback.

Focus on Results

We come to work at Envato to do our best work. We believe in setting clear, fair and challenging goals, and focusing our efforts on doing the right things, and doing them well.

Not Just the Bottom Line

We take a long term view of our business and focus on creating value. While we have a healthy appreciation for the bottom line, we are building a sustainable business that creates wealth for many, not just money for some.

Fair Go

Everyone deserves an equal chance and a fair opportunity. At work, on our sites, and in life we strive to be fair and consistent in everything we do.

Diverse and Inclusive

We thrive when we champion diversity and inclusion. We make better decisions, we’re stronger and happier, and it’s the right thing to do. It is our responsibility and privilege to be somewhere talented, value-driven people thrive. We are welcoming, respectful and supportive at work, on our sites, and in our community.

We are so proud of our values and use them daily in business decisions.

Paid parental leave

We offer 18 weeks at full pay for the primary caregiver and two weeks at full pay for partners. Envato is one big family, so we welcome yours.

You can choose to spend some time working in other teams to learn new skills and tackle new challenges.

Our kitchens are full of fresh fruit, tea and coffee – all free. Other goodies are available with a small charity donation.

Purchasing leave

You can purchase up to two weeks additional leave and spend more time with the family, or explore the world as much as you like.

Open roles

Envato is a fast growing company and we’re expanding both our Melbourne office and our remote team.

What does the recruitment process look like at Envato?

1. Phone Screens

We start with a quick and friendly phone call so we can learn a little more about you, your fit for the role, and you can learn a little more about us.

2. First Interview

We’ll organise an interview (usually with the hiring manager and another team member) to really dig into your skills and experience and how they relate to Envato.

3. Practical Test

If the interview goes well, some roles might require you to complete a practical task (like a coding test, or a hypothetical scenario) so we can see you in action.

4. Second Interview

We’ll organise a second interview to discuss your practical task and explore some new questions. You might also meet other team members or prospective stakeholders at this stage.

5. Reference Checks

We like to speak with both a previous manager and a co-worker of yours to get a feel for what it’s like to work with you.

6. Offer

If you’re the best person for the role and we’re happy with everything so far, the next step is an offer for the role.
